Hi Guys,
Where to begin...Thank you so much for your support!! :) I am starting to turn the corner and feel like I am re-emerging as my old self. I am even taking the day off to play golf tomorrow which will be my first outing since ACDF.
I had a stroke of brilliance earlier. I'm a little nervous about playing so I thought I would not hit too many balls at the range before I hit the links and then extended my thinking with the brainstorm that I should try and minimize my strokes on each hole to avoid straining my neck. Brilliant since this is the goal of the game. What a long strange trip it's been.
Joanne - I leave for a few minutes and you've apparently gotten into some bellybutton fetish? Do share. Back Room? Is this a mythical place or have you all gotten together and opened a pub in my absence? Bellybuttonlover (and who doesn't) are you responsible for this interesting turn of events?
Keith - I would like nothing more than to come get some veggies, but you know, I may try and save Mr. Gopher or am I too late? Gopher, the other white meat?? So what do you have up there? A pond or a pool?
Sister Debbie - You've been missed. I think we should finally go ahead with the DNA testing and make it official. I've been watching a friend go through the chemo/radiation thing too. I must say, she looks great. Is your friend okay? How strong one must be to deal with these things.
Sandra - I actually think it was Oprah that depressed me in the first place. :) I've been in support groups in the past, but for some reason felt the need to push on pretty much on my own on this one. It feels good to be coming out - so to speak.
Mellie - I remember you. Thanks for the sweet words. Are you feeling okay now? Getting there?
JBelle - Comrade. You too know the routine. I like to think it makes life more interesting and is truly more of a benefit than a hinderance. I should have just known better and acted more proactively, although I'm meds free and wish to stay that way. It's nice to know I am not alone.
Man, I've really missed you guys!!! I need to do some reading and see how everyone is feeling.
Can someone please tell me the scoop on Teri's surgery? I am very concerned. The earlier post on her surgery is coming up blank. Is her current condition what was expected or were there complications?
xxoo

Hi Bruce,
I’m afraid board guidelines and propriety dictate that I don’t discuss my fetishes here...so I will, regrettably, have to keep me wee mysteries to myself ;) ....Now if you were to visit me in The Back Room...well...who knows what intriguing discussions may ensue....I can only Invision the possibilities... With a room filled with such creative, sagacious, witty, amiable people, the possibilities are endless .....
I’m glad you’re starting to feel like your old self...’cause...I really like your old self ;)
I hope your golf game goes well...enjoy...but please be nice to yourself !
Oh...and if you see any gophers...(yes gophers not golfers)...please be nice to them as well...remember...you’re on their turf...and they’ll getcha...ask Keith
Go Gopher.... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dance.gif .... Go Gopher
I’m alright...don’t gotta worry ‘bout me :p
Keep Smilin’

re update on Teri....last post from her sister stated...
I'm back at the hospital with Teri and she's finally into a regular room. She's out of the clinitron bed and on a flex-something bed (air bed), and is able to sit up. It was so good to see her somewhat vertical yesterday!
They did at CT scan this morning and are sending her for a MRI tomorrow. They're starting to talk about releasing her to a rehabilitation facility. We're just unsure what kind of time they're talking about. We've heard anywhere from 10 days to 5 weeks.
