Thanks for letting us know of your outcome. Just remember take it easy and don't overdo it. Your system is still recovering from the anesthesia and may give you false expectations of what you are currently able to do.

AND REMEMBER REST, REST, REST and MORE REST. Depend on others for assistance.

Let us know if we can answer any questions for you or address any concerns.

Elaine,

Good to hear that your surgery is done - now its healing time! Hope you have a recliner or lots of pillows to make you comfortable. Popsicles were very healing!
Hugs,
Cathric

Elaine,

Glad you are home. Don't fight the sleep, you need it to heal.

Hi Elaine - Glad to hear you are home and everything went well. Don't try to do too much at once, take plenty of rest, and remember its 3 steps forward 1 step back - but this is normal!!!

Elaine,

Keep resting and you will begin to feel the better side of surgery!! We all sympathize with you on these first few weeks of recovery.

Hi Everyone
Just an update It has been 10 days since surgery and I am doing good.Sleeping less during day and sleeping more at night. Sleep proped up on 3 pillows in bed for a few hours then to recliner for rest of night. No pain pills last 3 days.Still have trouble swollowing and feels like golf ball in throat.Had Ham Pot pie for supper last night (no ham)but it sure was good.Walking 1 hour a day. Starting to feel more like my old self.
Going to continue to take it easy as I don't want to go through this all again.
Will keep you all informed and will probably go through depression now that dauhgter has gone home
Elaine
