hi everyone
mom just had odontoid fusion and is also in a halo. she is a quadrapalegic and still in hospital. any suggestions on propermovement after such surgery?? we can't seem to get an answer, they do it differently all the time. does her neck need to be more stabilzed when moving her to a stretcher? i know some people don't even wear collar after this procedure, but we are concerned b/cause mom also has osteoporosis. could these screws shatter her bones if not handled properly? we don't need anymore damage done to her!!
