hi nelson,
don't have any answers for you but i would love to hear anything inspirational about your situation. my mother is 68 and recently felland broke her neck and is quad now. she is still inand out of hospitals trying to stabilize her. problems w/ pnemonia and heart rate keep coming back, inhibiting her from getting any rehab. we are all devastated for her and my dad, and i am trying to encourage her. any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks
michele

I don't know if I can be of much help. I have panic disorder and a bad neck! I have had numerous times in the recent past when I would go to bed and as soon as I would lay down on my back and close my eyes I would get incredibly dizzy. I also get very sick to my stomach from the anxiety. My stomach always is bothering me and being nauseus is almost a daily occurence. I hope you are feeling better soon. By the way, I take Xanax for the anxiety.

Hi there,

I can't address the questions you asked but wanted to relay how ruddy incredible it is that you are able to get on the net and advocate and inform yourself.

i was a paraplegic (temporarily) when I herniated a disc c5 in my neck. I was unable to move my upper body and arms for 2 1/2 weeks and it was very frightening. I felt so incredibly isolated inside of myself. However, it passed as the herniation lifted and i am left with chronic pain, pins needles, electric shocks but i manage as i deliberate over a scarey surgery.

I taught piano and my fingers are still able to play for tire easily and I really miss my old life with all 40 piano students plus my accounting job in the a.m.

Life is so bizarre and then I see someone like you able to get it together and advocate and research and its "ruddy amazing".

just had to tell you .... Nero
