and have finally been able to get my script refilled and am ready to start again.
Questions
#1..what are the typical bad effects of suddenly stopping meds?? I was fine for first 3 days now I feel pretty bad..nausea, dizzy, tired. Been off of med for one week.
#2..Do I restart at my previous dose or do I have to start slow again? I was on 37.5 mg and it was working well for me (anxiety)
It was all due to a mix up at the pharmacy and I guess because I felt fine in the beginning I was not too worried about it. Big mistake. I was on Zoloft in the past and stopped taking them suddenly without any trouble.
Please help.
Thanks

Those are questions for your doctor-- there's no way around that! You need to call the nurse at your doctor's office and double check about your restart dosage and whether any of your side effects need checked out. (They sound like pretty typical side effects, but only your doctor can say for sure.)

Your doctor will understand about the mixup, etc.-- he/she sees people who accidentally (and intentionally) stop and start medicines like Paxil all the time. Call the nurse and/or doctor today and start feeling better!! Good luck!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

(Sorry to sound like a corny informercial at the end, but seriously... call the doctor or your pharmacist!)

i've cold-turkied paxil (tho not CR kind, the regular one) and it was hell. i had been on 30 mg. yer right, the 1st few days weren't that bad...but around day 4 or so, i had the worst feeling of vertigo ever. i would be sitting perfectly still (wasn't in the middle of standing up/sitting down) when suddenly *WHOOSH!* i would feel like i was on a roller coaster--you know the stomach flopping you get when you dip downhill, etc. also, i found myself unable to complete sentences when talking to others, etc. i definitely pissed my brain & body off, and so had to feel their wrath for a week or so.

i agree, this is definitely an issue you need to discuss w/ yer doctor.
