I suffer from anxiety, panic attacks. My Dr. recently increased my zoloft from 50mg. to 100mg. It hasn't kicked in yet. Wondering if anyone has a rapid heart rate & a rise in blood pressure with anxiety?
My BP normally is 125/85. It has shot up tp 147/102!
My
pulse is between 100-115, the norm is usually 80-85.Thank you!!!

Kathy,
Yes, that sounds about right. When your more anxious and nervous and having a panic attack, you tend to get more adraline in your system and therefore everything goes up. The rapid heartbeat and high blood pressure is just your bodies way of trying to balance everything. Listen to me I am trying to give you advice and I have the same problems, except my chest hurts all the time. I think that may just be anxiousness. I am consumed with anxiety all day everyday. It drives me crazy. I have had all kind of tests, echocardigrams, ekgs and most recently wore a heart monitor for 30 day's and I am here to tell you I hit that button all the time and alway's everything was no problems. But I worry all the time about my chest, and pulse rate. I don't know how to stop it. I guess it will just go away one day. I hope, with God's help I can get through this and so can you. I was taking Zoloft before, but now I take Lexapro. it seem's to be working o.k., just get the woosies most of the time. Let me know if you are doing o.k.
Sara
