Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me their experiences with sex while on Paxil. I am on 25mg of Paxil CR for soxial anxiety. I don't want to quit paxil since it really helps, when I'm out now I'm not afraid to drive, I actually say hello back to cashiers, I can respond to people better and I don't look at the floor the entire day. I know for me when I masturbate it takes anywhere from 20 - 90 minutes to ejactulate, will I be having problems when I finally have sex? Btw, I'm 20 years old and still a virgin, ::cries::

i don't think you'll have a problem. first you've got to get a gfriend though. and, for what it's worth, should it take you 90min to shake a load :-), you'll be a hero to your gfriend.

I could absolutely NOT have an orgasm on Paxil. I'd try, but then be thinking too much about it. I hated that side effect. For a few months, it was worth it - bc like you said, I opened up to people, but I stopped it bc of the side effects.....

And when you get off- go SLOWLY - like 5ml less every week or week and a half - that stuff zapped me, totally messed with my head, my dreams.... when I tried to "quit" it.

Yep, it's a problem. For men and women. For right now it is an acceptable side effect for me because my anxiety was so bad. My sex drive was low anyway before I started it. Boy, 90 minutes....you do have perserverance!!

these meds often alter the sex drive and some experimenting is called for
