O.K., yes I have panic and anxiety...but today I was feeling around on my head and I found a sore spot, kind of behind my right ear and then a little further down I found a knot or lump under the scalp...

I have have MRI's and C-Scan before, I haven't had one since almost a year ago...but what should I do...

Do you think that it means anything?

Please respond...

you can sometimes ask a pharmacist to look at it for free, some are fairly good on diagnosing that sort of thing

o.k., I went to our after hours clinic last night...the doctor said that it was a swollen lymph node in my head...go figure, I never knew that we had lymph nodes in our heads...it is really sore and couldn't sleep last night..

I have had MRI's and C-Scans in the past due to constant headaches, but they are just about gone. All was normal except for a flattend pituitary gland.

Any other advice or input would be great.

A few months ago I went through a cold and discovered a sore lump on the top of my right ear! I also panicked and ran to the doctor. He said the it was nothing to worry about if you have recently gone through a virus or something. Just a swollen lymph node he said. It might take a few weeks for it to go away but I promise it will. These swollen lymph nodes can appear anywhere on you face and neck. I got a few on my neck during that period. Hope this helps!
