Does life ever get better. I have so much going on in my life right now with immediate family issues and myself with my thyroid, stress and hairloss. Well then my husband comes home last week from work because they say that he lied on his pre-employment screening which he worked at this company for almost a year. He was talking (which he thinks he can trust everyone although there was nothing wrong with this discussion) to a co-worker and they were discussing health issues and different scares they have had in their medical history. Well my husband mentioned that he was tested for TB that came back positive because he was exposed to it in the past. Went on to say that he had chest xrays which showed that he did not have the disease. He does have asthma and bronchitis so he coughs a lot. Well he mentioned this to his co-worker 8 months ago and just last week his co-worker decided to mention this to his boss who then called him in to his office. Decided to send him home and then for another chest xray which still came back negative. So now they are saying that he lied on his pre-screening test which the question was: do you have any of the following: with TB being listed. He does not have it so he checked off no not even thinking that he would have to explain anything since he is negative (why do you explain a negative result?). Well his employment is still saying that he lied on this so they terminated him. We contacted 2 attorneys who say there is no case with the NEW JERSEY laws which is fine. They said he was an at-will employee and they could terminate him for no reason if they wanted to. But this stinks because how could I let this employer know that they are W.R.O.N.G. I feel like I will not get this hole in my stomach clear until they know this. We also contacted EEOC as a friend of his told him he should try this after the lawyer bit. But this pains me to know that this employer did this and they liked him so they say. He loved this job and he is the type who doesn't like many jobs. So this is pain staking and with all other stuff going on this just kills me. READY TO CRY AGAIN. I FEEL LIKE A BIG BABY LATELY CAUSE THAT IS ALL I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO DO.
