You seem to be the exception that confirms the rule http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/round.gif But you're cheating, it's decaf!

Maybe all the chocolate you add cheers you up. Chocolate contains phenylethylamine, which improves your mood.

Coffee contains chemicals, we yet dont know about! Maybe they enhance own neurons some how!

I heard that coffee can lift mood. So it's a little bit helpful to depression. But usually it will make anxieties worse. But I always think depression can accompany anxieties, although sometimes anxieties only have little bit depression, or no depression. So from my point of view I think a person who is easy to be anxious should avoid coffee & chocolate. Anyways, decaf is OK.

Caffeine is a stimulant-anphetamine/like cocaine-

y'all-it is addictive and it causes people to be all cranky to put it lightly if they don't get their morning fix.

Maybe it is the milk and chocolate that relax you- try a hot coco instead to see if you get the same effect. milk has an opiate effect from certain proteins/aminos. yeah and chocolate has the amines that are mood altering as well, but it also has tannins and processed with alkalis.
