tinam2002 12-29-2002, 04:29 PM need any info on this ,have u tryed it ,is it good med to take ,,ie ,,side effects etc ------------------ tina m west virginia girl 12-29-2002, 11:23 PM Hi....well here's the scoop. I was taking paxil for four years for anxiety and well this depression came along and now I am on effexor 75mg 3 times a day and it has helped some,I mean I was really bad off and it had made me where I am able to cope a little better but I still have a long way to go,I haven't really had any side effects from it. Thank goodness or if I did they weren't bad enough to notice. Sorry I couldn't help much but just wanted to respond to your post. littlesheep1999 12-30-2002, 07:15 PM in my opinion and experience and not just from me i am talking for loads of my freinds from another board that effexor is more for depression, it is a high medication makes you feel high and gives you confidence it did for me and loads of freinds and it is so hard to wean off and it causes severly high anxiety..... if you obsess alot like you do as i have read your posts... you need something like lustral (zoloft), or prozac, BUT firslty just start taking the proponol it is a very safe drug, will stop your heart flutters etc and will also ease your mind.. see how you get on with that first might even help you alot.. then if you feel you need something else go bk to doc and discuss further meds such as lustral and prozac.... if it is the anxiety and the obsessive thoughts you are suffering with the most then deffinetly try lustral as it helped me right away for my obsessive thoughts but unfortuanlty didnt do much for my anxiety... but with you taking proponol then i reckon that you will be on your way to being meanded if you take the proponol then later start lustral if you feel u need it.. good luck god bless happy new year.... keep us posted http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif ------------------ donna littlesheep1999 12-30-2002, 07:15 PM i am going to ask about proplonol http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif CJB 03-14-2003, 11:55 AM I am worried now I have given Exefor and have taken it for 2 days I feel more confident already, but I also feel terrible. Sick, nausea and shaking. After reading what has been written here I think i will stop taking it, any advise. teufelhund9 06-06-2003, 08:29 PM For CJB: Maybe too late, but I got really sick to my stomach with regular Effexor, but after switching to Effexor ER (extended release), no problems. May work for you too. |
