If the pain is along the bottom left side of the lower rib cage, it is very common with me. I also get twitches and pains that move from this lower area up across my chest to my left shoulder. Try not to put your hand over your chest out of habit because of these strange feelings becuase you can make your chest hurt by spreading your ribs. Bad habit to get into, but natural to do so. Typical for anxiety to twitch and tighten muscles in the chest area, especially on the left side. I hope this helps you Friend

Hi - I have had the same thing today/yesterday. I have the weirdest feeling in the left side of my chest, it isn't a deep pain but it is sensitive and if you press on it there is an uncomfortable feeling like I have just sent a mild jolt of electricity through my chest (it isn't pain - just a nervous uncomfortable weird feeling, hard to describe). It's like the muscles in my chest are hyper-sensitive and twitchy. I also had aching in my left arm yesterday, but it seems to be gone now.

I went to the doctor about it today - she didn't seem worried. I decided to go on meds today because I'm sick of having anxiety symptoms like this. I couldn't sleep because I found it impossible to relax with my chest/muscles feeling this way.
