I recently had my cortisol levels checked and they were higher than normal. I am bummed about this however because I am a competitive bodybuilder and high levels really eat up heart earned muscle. Anyone know any good ways of lowering cortisol levels. Also what meds are good for this?

Hi SupSup,
Did you see an endocrinologist to have this testing done? Mine have never been tested, and I'd be interested in having this test done along with hormone testing. I've never had either test done, and I'm wondering if either of these tests could shed some light on some of the chronic health problems I have.
Sorry, I don't have any information that would be helpful to you. Hope someone else comes along and can answer your questions.

try b-complex vitamins-follic acid lowers homocystine levels which is very related to cortisol levels-how are your adrenals?
