Well today is the first day I have gone without a vicoden or percocet in 4 years and I feel great! I really think this Suboxone is a miracle drug. My doctor had never prescribed it because it was so new on the market but he is really excited to see my progress! I never thought this would happen. This is the first time in 4 years that I have hope. I can't believe I actually am up and functioning without a vicoden. God, I feel great!!!! I highly recommend this treatment! If ANYBODY has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I know what it is like to be a slave to your pain pills! And know I can focus on moving to Las Vegas and not where I am going to get my pills. I AM FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome! I tried finding information on the net on Suboxone, but didn't find much. Do you know how it works? How long one would expect to be on it, etc.? I know many people are terrified of stopping because of fear of physical withdrawl symptoms. If this works well, it could help alot of people.

Go to www.suboxone.com. (http://www.suboxone.com.) There is a 877 number on there that you can call and they will send you a big package with all the information that you need! Plus the website is really informative. I am not sure how long I'll be on it, but the brochure that comes with the pills said maintenance can start after a few days. I have taken 3, 2mg pills so far today. The brochure recommends starting out with the 8mg pills and going up to 16 to 24 mg a day, but I couldn't affort the 8mg pills. I am just taking it day by day! I want to be on this stuff as little as possible but I know it will take a few weeks for all the opiates to get out of my system. I am feeling a little tired today and just a little "spacey" but overall this is NOTHING compared to full blown withdrawal! I hope this helps.

Stacy great to hear about your success.

Wondering how you got the prescription, I thought only a few Dr. were licensed to prescribe this med?

Only a few doctors in eact state prescribe suboxone but if you type physicians prescribing buprenorphine into your search engine you will find a website that will enable you to find a doctor in your area that prescribes it. That is how I found the doctor that prescibed it to me. It has been 4 days since I have taken a vicoden and I feel great!
