Please help.

I have begun sleeping more and more and no matter what different meds I am on it has just continued to get worse. I have been paying close attention and tonight after my panic attack my body felt heavy and flu like and I wanted to sleep.

I can sleep for 14 hours easily. I wonder if I sleep so much because my body stresses so much when I am awake.

Has anybody gone through anyhting like this? I have even slep over 24 hours straight before.

Hiya City Kitty

personally when my anxiety and stress used to be really high, once i had calmed down i would feel mentally and physically exhausted... and its no wonder really because your body can only take so much..i guess its a way of rejuvinating.

also i know meds i have been on do make me sleep more and i have less energy...
if you are depresed too, sleeping is a key symptom.

CityKitty:

I wish I had that problem. I on the other hand have had insomnia due to my anxiety issues. I have had problems sleeping as long as I can remember, way back into my teen years. My meds do seem to help but not much. I was on Xanax (as a sleep aid and anxiety med) and that used to help me to fall assleep faster but still found my self up several times during the night. I am now on Klonopin and it helps my anxiety a lot but doesnt make me sleepy. I think you should talk to your pdoc as 14 hours is excessive. There has to be a med that wont make you sleepy. I understnad this can be frustating for you...but I am jealous! LOL!

Good Luck...perhaps you can give me some of your extra sleep.

Stress and anxiety will drain you making you so tired. I know after worrying alot or having a panic attack I am so sleepy. it just drains me.

Then there are times when I just get depressed and don't even want to get out of bed.

Take care
