Hi,
My question is, does anyone eat more when they are anxious? I find that I do that.
Not good!

Hi Drago...i kind of do... sometimes when i am anxious i feel i need to do something, and when im around people feeling anxious i do tend to eat more, its like a disraction thing so im not just sitting there doing nothing...cant explain it properly, but i do relate to what youre saying.

I ate my way to a 32 pound weight gain. It is an addiction. Atleast thats what my turned into. Any time I was upset (which seemed to be everyday) I ate fast food. It took me 9 months, xanax and my boyfriend moving in with me, to get over it. Or really to deal with my main issue of lonliness. So if you can see it starting STOP IT NOW! When you eat ask yourself what you really want? At that moment your stuffing your face ask yourself. The answer is what you need to deal with before you'll be able to deal with the eating.

citykittie,
your right I need to do that. However, when the anxiety hits even worse the panic I don't deal with it. Panic sets in and then I look for comfort.
Thanks for your response.

Hello. When I panic, I don't eat at all. I'm quite the opposite, lol.

I'm the opposite too, Upshutter.
I can never eat if I'm panicing, it makes me feel worse.

this has been rather strange for me. Up until recent, I would never eat cause of my anxiety. Now it is the exact opposite. If I do not eat I will have bad anxiety attacks. I prefer the way I am now because I am very underweight and need to gain some pounds.
