View Full Version : Bad tension in chest

Hi everyone, I've had a strong tension in my chest that occurs whenever I wake up from a sleep or nap. I've had a real dysfunctional childhood and the last 5 years have been going downhill and it seems that all my problems are finally catching up to me after repressing them and not dealing with them properly. Anyways it's sort of an anxiety/stress/depression energy ball all rolled into one and is logged in my chest. It affects my ability to concentrate, to think clearly, and to have a clear head (my mind feels like I'm in a dream state and very foggy). I'm oversensitive and always obsessive with things (I have ocd like behaviours a lot). I can't even be around other people without the feeling of losing it or having a nervous breakdown. It's taken a control over me and I'd like to release this energy. I tried pranic breathing exercises and I can't tap into it well but the feeling intensifies where I almost vomit. I really can't afford a hypnotherapist or anything else, and would rather not take medications due to previous bad experiences. Is there any natural way to release this type of energy so I can start feeling "normal"?

Hi....
I read your posting and could not help but answer. You appear to be in need of counseling and I am attempting persuade you to seek help. You state you had a dysfunctional childhood and I am hearing you say you have bottled up your feelings for many years. It sounds as if you had a lot more to deal with in your life then most of us have. We all need help dealing with issues in our lives and you are expressing this need now. I hope you have medical insurance and if so, please call and see who you can see. If you do not, there are places in your community that will assist you on a fee sliding scale (income based). Please take care of yourself and get the help you deserve. I wish you good luck in your treatment.

Hi! I too have intense chest pressure. It is horrible I agree, and indeed a form of anxiety. The feelings you have in your chest are from emotions not expressed. I agree with the person who just wrote above me...counseling is a definite need for you. It is important for you to talk to someone, and someone who will listen....so you can get mad, sad, glad, and whatever else u feel and not bottle it up inside. Best wishes! Keep us posted! Cassie
