DEAR JEAN
I USE NEITHER BUT MANY PEOPLE USE BOTH. THEY CLAIM BOTOX HELPS A LOT WITH SPASTICITY. MOST TAKE NEURONTIN WITH GOOD RESULTS.

My mother just had a hemorrhagic stroke. I am interested how you have been doing and have you had any positive therapy experiences?
Thanks
Holly

Hi Holly I think the neurontin and botox injections have been a great help.Every stroke responds different, but I think time has given me a chance to build some greatly needed physical and mental strength. The other giant help has been an anti depressant called celexa, it has played a large help in gaining strength and mostly keeping my moods level. you can't accomplish much if everything gets you annoyed. right now I am taking a suspended walking program. Where you walk on a treadmill with you weight reduced by 30per cent it helps with getting you to a more normal gait and increases your endurance.Hope your Mom makes steady progress.Just keep going.
