Hey everyone!!!!!!! Just a quick question about birth control............is it true birth control pills make you gain weight????????

Not all birth control pills make you gain weight. It is listed as a common side effect, however, since they will boost your appetite, (since, basically they're tricking you into thinking that you're pregnant, and you need more nutrients during pregnancy).
I think I may have gained 3-4 lbs total while on bc pills, and then when i got OFF the pills, i lost about 12-15 lbs, so it's different for EVERYONE!

Yeah equivocated is right. Some people gain weight on different pills where others may not. Its just a chance thing. There are pills that have less chance of you gaining weight-I know of a bunch in NZ but not in the US though. Anyway if you do, it shouldnt be much and if your not happy you can change pills until you find one that suits your lifestyle etc. Good luck. :D
