Hi,
Im getting married soon and I needed to know if I can take both Depo Provera shots AND oral Provera.I take Provera(Hormone)to keep from lightly bleeding inbetween cycles,however take it the first 10 days of each month...Anyone know if I can do this??

First and foremost talk to your doctor.
Second I would say do your research on Depo Provera because that is one NASTY form of birth cotnrol.
Here are several posts on these boards from others amd myself who have been on it.
Chances are you will bleed the first three to six months or longer on Depo. I only had two shots and bleed the entire time granted it was light spotting but still trust six months of that and you dont want anymore.
But read these other posts and do some research online.

Blastoff thats it...we don't want to use a barrier that will create problems later...When I took Depo-Provera it was for a short time..We dont want to take-use anything that will cause problems for our future children or for myself.Depo shots didnt cause me to bleed heavy,but did make me gain a significant amount of weight..What is opinions on Implant,Diaphragms and other barriers?

i just got done reading the stuff from the links posted by "blastoff". im so upset and cryin' right now cuz i'm so scared that i wont be able to have kids. a couple of years ago i was on depo for about two years and it totally screwed me up. i bled every day of my life and finally got on the pill. i'm not on anything now (i stopped the pill about ten days ago). i get so worried about not being able to conceive just because i was so messed up from the shot, and i didn't even know it could cause infertility. i can't afford to go to the doctor and don't have insurance yet, but as soon as i do i'm going to get checked out because of the shot. i'm 21 and have been married about a year and a half and i would be crushed if i can't have children because of a stupid mistake i made when i was 17, and that i wouldn't have made if i'd read the stuff posted on these boards. you all are really informative. thanks.
