Do you have to start on the sunday after your period. If you make sure to take the sugar pills when you get your period, can that be enough?

You can start on the day your period starts or the Sunday after your period starts. What do you mean by are the sugar pills enough? These pills don't contain hormones to help prevent pregnancy. Is prevention your goal? Your question is a little bit vague.

You start the active pill the first sunday of your period. ACTIVE PILLS. If you do it this way, they are effective immediately.

sorry about the vaugeness (sp?). I want to get on bc pills but i think that i am goign to get them in the middle of my cycle and am pretty impatient and wanted to know if it was possible to start them in the middle (instead of the sunday after my period) and then make sure that i am on the sugar pills when i am on my period since that is the way it is set up.
I hope that helps. and thanks for the replies so far!

Don't start them in the middle of your cycle. You have to wait until you start a new cycle. You could be setting yourself up for more trouble, like maybe not getting your period when you thought you would, because you have to finish the active pills before your period starts. Just stick with the intructions. Use another form of contraceptives until then.
