Hi, It's called a Nuva Ring and it's not actually an IUD. I just started with one this week. No more remembering (or in my case forgetting) to take the pill every day!!!! It's a soft clear ring, about the size, thickness and flexibility of a hair elastic. You insert it into the vagina and it stays in for three weeks. After three weeks you take it out and toss it. You 'll then get your period. One week after you took it out you put a new one in. It works by releasing the hormones found in the birth control pill over the three weeks you have it in. My GYN is recommending it to alot of his patients because the efficiency is 98% and because it releases less hormones into your body that the standard pill. I've had it in since Wednesday and I definitely can't feel it. However, it's getting the first real tryout tonight..if you know what I mean...I'll keep you posted.

Tried it out last weekend with the BF...FANTASTIC! Neither of us could even tell it was there.

hi again,
do you know the cost?
also, how is it for side effects so far?
sounds really good for us.

we are both disabled & i'm not a good pill taker.
this sounds like the best option yet.

Hi there, this company is advertising right now with many ob/gyn offices, since this is a new product. My gyn said that they were allowing patients to try them for free for the first 6 months free of charge. It is also on the site and advertised thru the Nuva company that 1000s of ob/gyn's are offering this product to try to there patients who are already on the bc pill. Call your ob/gyn and ask, if they dont have it they may be getting it soon. I was on a waiting list until my dr has them.

Ive had the ring in for 6 days now and I'm wondering if anyone else has had any cramps and bloating??
Maybe this will go away after the first month.
