is arthritis related to lymph node swelling?

Hi,
I had a lymph node swell in my arm last year. I was told I HAD to have it removed & tested before they would give me any RA meds besides prednisone. It turned out to be a reactive node, probably from my arthritis.

remove? how do u remove it? dun they give u antibiotics?

In office surgery. Numb my arm and cut it out.

Help! Does anyone have info. on lumbar arthritis? I have it in the L4-5 and L5-S1 areas. I will be seeing the ortho. next week, but I'd like to be as educated as possible before I go. Also, any info regarding what is in store for the long term. I am in so much pain right now--will streching excersises help or hurt? Also, is it hereditary or could it have been caused by a fall? Any info. greatly appreciated.
