Celebrex For Pain - Arthritis Message Board

Does anyone have anything positive to say about the prescription drug Celebrex? My dr. just put me on it, but I've only been taking it for 4 days (200mg. twice a day)so I really don't feel any better yet. How long should I give it to kick in?

At this point, they're not sure exactly what's causing my back pain (going for x-rays and MRI) later this month, and for physical therapy)

My experience with Celebrex is that it helps with stiffness, but does nothing for pain. If I don't take it for a couple of days, I get so stiff I can hardly move. Hope it works for you.

Hi. I have been taking Celebrex since it first came out. I don't know how it is without it.,..I haven't ever stopped taking it. I do not have the pain I once had and am sleeping good at night. That's when my arthritis bothered me the most. I have some bone spurs on my spine, along with the arthritis, and it certainly seems to help. Good luck to ya!

I'm on 200mg, once a day, plus 1 tab,twice a day of lortab 7.5/500 for my pain. I can't tell what works or doesn't, sorry!
