 Antibiotic treatments
Has anybody tried the antibiotic treatment for RA? I've been reading a lot about it. The actress Kathleen Turner is on minocycline and Celebrex, with great results. I've also read some studies. I am considering this treatment because just before I got symptoms, my husband and I had a weird rash that no one could diagnose. At first we thought we had parasites (painfully sharp stinging sensations and crawling sensations) but the final word was it had to be a virus or bacteria. A biopsy of one of my husbands bumps showed possible autoimmune factors. There is some research that shows mycoplasm infections can cause RA symptoms. And this treatment seems a lot safer than some of the other drugs out there.
I'm really interested in hearing about anyone else's experience with antibiotic treatment.
