Hi Laura,
I'm 36 and have had JRA since the age of 6. I remember when they use to tell me, most JRA patients outgrow the disease. HA!! Here I sit getting older and older and wondering....exactly when do I get to have an adult name for my illness!
My son was diagnosed at 17 with the jra. We know he had it at 16 but wasn't properly diagnosed. He has had 3 infusions of remicade thus far. He hasn't really noticed any difference yet. He is a basketball player and it has been pretty tuogh!

I have had JRA since age 2 and am now 24. I also have been pretty active all my life and never let it get in the way. But at age 24 I am noticing some problems now. My right hip I believe is almost gone and Naprosyn seems to less affective.
But I guess all those years of active lifestyle are finally getting to me.
Hi - My name is Carol and I'm from the UK. Like you Laura, I was diagnosed with JRA at 18 months and am now 28. Just got it in the knees now and went for steroid injection in right knee yesterday. Am awaiting ok from Rheumatology to start taking Methotrexate along with Indomethacin, which I've been on for about 7 years now. I'll let you know how I get on. Some days are more painful than others so just hope for the best every day.
