Lightbulb Nothing is helping my knee pain

Iam new here but I have had knee pain for almost a year in right knee. The dr. gave me celebrex and I've taken it when pain is too bad. Just recently my left knee is hurting worse then the right knee! now Iam expierenceing pain in both knees so bad I cant take it.
I've taken celebrex and vioxx and neither one is stopping the acheing and horrible pain when I sit and have to get up. Iam now haveing trouble walking and my job requires alot of standing on my legs. Any Suggestions???

Dear Just, I have Anklosing Spondilitis, I know how you feel! I would suggest that you ask your primary doctor to refer you to a pain specialist. Because of your extreme pain I would think that you should explore the world of opiate treatment....its not for everyone but why suffer in agony....alone?You need not be a martyr to your pain...good luck!

I also have pain in both knees and had an Acupuncture treatment today. It helps somewhat. I had surgery a year ago, but it didn't help much. The stiffness I had before surgery has returned so I'm hoping the Acupuncture will help me. Celebrex didn't help me at all and neither does Glucosamine and Chondroitin, unfortunately. I hope you find some pain relief soon!!!!!

My in-laws both suffer from terrible arthritis. My father-in-law takes morphine for the pain. Mother-in-law was on Vioxx. Both have started on a new arthritis remedy called Lakota. I am not promoting this product except to say my mother-in-law takes the oral form and swears by it, she is off the Vioxx entirely and says its amazing how much better she is feeling. My father-in-law uses the topical form of the product as he doesn't want to take the oral with the morphine until his specialist tells him too...anyway, the swelling in his hands is gone, he can actually open and close his hands now, his knees aren't has painful as they were. To the best of my knowledge this product is available in Canada at your neighborhood drug store, if they can keep it in stock - it tends to sell out within days. Good luck.
