I came across some pretty useful information yesterday when I was doing research on support groups. I wanted to share it here in case someone out there might need some help paying for their medications. We all know how expensive they can be, especially when you are taking many together.
Here are four good websites that might be able to help get medicines for free or for a fraction of the cost. Hope this helps someone!!

~Meg (see below)

PhRMA Pharmaceutical Company Patient Assistance Programs
The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America publishes a directory listing the companies that provide prescription medicines free of charge to patients who might not otherwise be able to get the necessary medicines, the medicines available, basic eligibility requirements, and contact persons. For more information, go to www.phrma.org or call 1-800-762-4636.

RxAssist provides physicians and other health care providers with the information they need to access programs provided by pharmaceutical manufacturers to offer a limited supply of free or low-cost medications to patients in need through their patient assistance programs. These programs are intended to serve as a "last resort" for patients who are unable to use other programs and who otherwise would not be able to afford needed medications. For more information, go to www.rxassist.org.

Needy Meds similar to PhRMA and RxAssist. For more information, call 1-215-625-9609, or go to www.needymeds.com.

The Medicine Program requires a $5 processing fee for each medication. For more information, call 1-573-996-7300, or go to www.themedicineprogram.com.
