 Chondromalacia of the patella & arthritis
Hi,
In August 2001, I was a pedestrian struck and injured by a car while crossing the street on a crosswalk. I suffered multiple injuries, especially to my left knee.
In January 2002, I had my 1st arthroscopic knee surgery, during which it was discovered that I had grade 2 chondromalacia of the patella, among other injuries or problems.
What is the difference between chondromalacia and arthritis? Does chondromalacia cause arthritis or is it the other way around? What can I do to treat or cure chondromalacia?
