Hi.
At one time I was taking a drug (?forgot what) and after awhile I started in aching, terrible in my joints. I couldn't lift a dish out of the cupboard, unless I held my arm up with the other hand. After getting off the drug, I went back to normal. I'm sorry I can't remember more about it, for it was 20 some yrs ago, but you may have something there, with your question. Jmho.
I'm told most of us with RA have a genetic predisposition to it...in other words it's in our blood waiting to attack. But what sets it off?
Stress of some sort.....accidents, miscarriage, major life changes, other illnesses perhaps that cause you to be on that medication perhaps??
I wanted to know WHY? when coming to terms with a life long dignosis but no-one really knows and i guess in some ways it's better not to have something specific to blame, just have to be accepting and feel better in realising that there's so many people worse off...easier some days more than others i know. Keep active where possible, it's the best natural pain killer and lifts the spirits immensely.

I was put on Luvox for obsessive compulsive disorder. But, I do believe it was the Luvox that caused my RA. I had NEVER had joint pain before, and IMMEDIATELY upon taking Luvox it started happening.
