| ANA test results question?
Hi there.
My Rheumy ran several tests on me this past week. One of them was an ANA test. Not any specific ANA (speckled, rimmed), just listed as "ANA".
I picked up the results today from the hospital lab. My doctor won't be back in until Monday (this is Saturday) and the results have me confused.
I am used to looking at ANA results in titre ranges, such as ....1:80, 1:160, etc.
These results, however, came back as follows:
Antinuclear AB
Result 2.1 (range 0.0 0.9)
Postive
Can anyone tell me what the heck that range means, other than being positive?
I asked the lab worker when I picked them up what they meant, she told me my dr would have to interpret them for me. I asked her, "can't you just tell me how to convert this to a titre amount?" she told me no.
sheesh.

Oh...I was diagnosed with RA...my DR was also testing for Lupus
