olan Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Missouri Posts: 54	Wanting new med. to replace arthotec undefined I have psoriatic arthritis since 1986 and it is a mild condition. Over the years it has eroded my esophagus lining and stomach. I started taking Arthotec as soon as it came on the market to protect me. The problem I have with the medication is that it causes me to retain water. Is there a medication I can suggest to my doctor to replace arthotec and still protect my stomach lining? olan
