| Cherry juice - reduces joint pain!
About a month ago I read a book that said that red tart cherries have anti-inflammatory effects and many arthritis suffers drink cherry juice for the pain. I have arthritis in my big toe joint and I have been in severe pain for about 3 years. I have been getting steroid shots in the joint every 6 weeks or so and the dr said the only way to get rid of the pain is to fuse the joint. I'm 34 by the way, and the dr said this is an injury related arthritis. Anyways, I have been drinking 4 to 6 ounces of cherry juice every morning and night or I eat frozen tart cherries. My pain has been greatly reduced to the point of nonexistence on some days. I haven't had to take ibuprophen in about 4 weeks and I have not had a shot since the end of June anymore. I don't know if this has been mentioned on this board before as this is my first time here, but I thought I'd mention this.
