Permanently bent knees

My knees have become permanently bent. Walking or standing causes great pain, so an active lifestyle is very limited. Has anyone had experience with this? Could total knee replacement straighten my knees? Does anyone know anything which might help? Could a continuous passive motion machine possibly help?

Re: Permanently bent knees

Do you hesitate straightening your legs because it hurts so much? I did that for 5 years before I had a TKR on right side. It fixed my problem immediately.
