| | Hip Calcification side effects
Hi, have a question for anyone who has experience with hip calcification. I am a 42 yr old Male, with excellent health really, but 10 years ago I got diagnosed with Arthritis in both my hip joints, which I first discovered as a result of Knee pain. Was told by specialist I would need hip replacement by time I was 40, so have bettered by 2 years so far, due mainly to regular excercise, taking Glucosamine and regular visits to Osteopath. My problem is , the quad muscle around my left knee has reduced in size over the years (my left hip is worse than my right), and any excercise I try to build this muscle up , causes inflammation and pain. Whilst I can walk at pace for 1.25 hours or so, with no real bad side affects, I know this will get harder as my muscle diminishes further. If anyone knows of any good excercises that will help, I would be most appreciative, I want to ski this year , and will need to build up the muscle up to enable me to do this safely (without twisting my knee joint) , thanks.
