Re: locked up finger

It is probably the condition commonly known as 'trigger finger'. I currently have it in my right thumb. It can be due either to inflamation in a tendon or to arthritis in a joint. There are two possible cures: (1) Wait perhaps several months for it to settle down or (2) have an injection of cortisone into the offending item. I tried accupuncture but gave up after two very painful sessions.
It is also recommended to imobilise the finger with a splint that you can buy from a pharmacy and to take anti-inflammatory pills such as ibuprofen.

Re: locked up finger

It sounds like trigger finger. I had it in both hands and had surgery on both hands at different times. It solved the problem and I'm fine today. You might want to see a hand specialist.

Re: locked up finger

[REMOVED] I suffered with the same problem for a long time. Not sure of the name but think its called Trigger Finger or Locked Finger. It is easy to cure. What happens in your fingers when you open or close them there's a sleeve that it slides into. There is a problem with that sleeve that is keeping from closing. I suffered a long time then went to an orthopedic surgeon who said that 90% of the cases cure be cured with a single shot of cordazone in the finger. It worked and it's not locked up in the past six years.

I would check this out and get on with your life.
