I have bad wrists from RA, I had an EMG test done to check for carpal tunnel and/or ulnar nerve problems but it came up normal - I just have bad synovitis and damage in both of them. Do you get ganglion cysts?
Have you tried any splints? I have small wrists and couldn't find any that fit me till I found a brand that makes them for women only - Wellgate - I got them at WalMart, in a purple box. I can't wear them 24/7 or it would make the stiffness worse but they're a great short term solution for pain and weakness.
A hand surgeon (plastic or orthopedic) might be able to help, depending on how much damage there is in your joints.
(removing the swollen joint lining) can maintain function, ease pain and slow the progression of the disease. It's still a temporary fix since it doesn't stop the RA completely but it can provide years of relief.
