| Does this sound like arthritis?
So I've been paying attention to this lately when I found out that it's not normal to feel pain and stiffness in your knees after you've been sitting for a while. I get this kind of ache in my knees and ankles especially (and sometimes also my hips). It usually only happens at night while trying to fall asleep or if I'm sitting in a car on long road trips or at the movies and concerts, where you can't just get up and walk around. During the day, I don't feel the achiness and stiffness as much unless I'm sitting at my desk for too long. I'll really feel the stiffness if I have to get up from a long period of inactivity abruptly.
I've noticed that I had this since my late teens and now I'm only 24 so I'm not sure if this is due to "lack of activity" (I don't know how else to put it...I am a pretty busy person in general).
The pain isn't intense...it's usually mild but annoying and uncomfortable. The other night, the pain was radiating through my legs and when I would get up to walk it would relieve the pain. Unfortunately, I didn't have any A535 or cold cream, so it was quite an annoyance. I also get this pain in my hands sometimes, not as much as in my legs though.
I'd like to find out if this sounds like arthritis/rheumatoid arthritis before going to the doctor. But I do want to find out what to do or what will happen if I go to the doctor about this. thanks!!
