| Shoulder surgery
I'm having shoulder surgery in a little over a week on the 26th of Oct. and was hoping someone could share their experience. I have severe arthritis in it which has broken off and loose bodies of cartilage are floating around in my arm, getting stuck between bones and tendons and causing pain. The doctor will pluck the floaters out and shave down the arthritis. I'll be having orthroscopic surgery and while he's in there, he's going to try a fairly new technique which is used commonly on knees. It's called a Microfracture of the humeral head. Apparantly he'll drill holes in my bone which will make my body grow new cartilage. If anyone has had either proceedure done, I'd love to hear the outcome and what to expect.
