Re: Something I want you to know about me it's not that I can't spell ; I can't see
my macular degeneration came on me as a teenager, found out when I went to get my drivers license, could not pass the eye test.
I had been having trouble at school seeing the board and reading, just killed my eyes, went to a ophthalmologist who had no clue about serious eye problems and left me thinking it was all in my head, until I had went to get my license.
Then I went to a ophthalmologist who knew what was wrong but sent me to a retina specialist to confirm.
It DOES complicate some things for me but a wise old man that had this same but more advanced eye condition said no truer words to me; it's not so much a disability as it is an inconvenience. I try to look at it that way Myself.
I do everything working around my vision, you know it;s not something you can walk away from, but I can live with it but a seance of humor is REQUIRED.
If you need any tips on how to cope and work this out, I would be honored to be of any assistance. It will be OK.
As for my back and joint problems, no, I don't think they know whats wrong with me but my new Dr. say's He will figure it out, fix it if he can and we will pain manage it if we can't fix it and that's more than any of the Dr.s all together have done.I'M HOPEFUL.
Keep in touch and take care. B
