Question HELP ~ 9 year old in pain

Hi, I have a 9 year old son who has been in a lot of pain, on and off, for approximately 7-8 months. Our doctor has referred him to a pediatrician, has Also ordered blood work to rule out arthritis and to catch any possible red flags; the blood work consisted of ten tests, which he just had done late yesterday afternoon, some of which have to be sent away.
His symptoms or problems are: mild to Extreme pain in neck, shoulders, back and along spine in general. He gets pain in elbows, knees, feet an legs. Headaches that can be just a pain to migraine style (but not bothered by migraine triggers).
He has lost function of his legs twice, while he has been laying down ( I hate to say it, but I never took him in then, as I thought he was exaggerating)
He gets double vision (he does wear glasses and his exams are regular and up to date) and gets dizzy, sometimes visibly noticable to the on looker
Not sure if related but has also had sore throats and fevers come at different times and without another cause
A lot of times his gait looks akward, and walking causes him pain, though his posture seems straight.
One day he will seem okay like a normal boy, the next day he is in pain like a 70 yr old man.
Has anyone gone through this? Does this sound right or could there be something else goin on? Please any thoughs or suggestions would be great, including ways of elliveating his pain.
Thank you

Re: HELP ~ 9 year old in pain

This sounds far more like it is a neurological problem than arthritic. Arthritis doesn't cause the legs to not work, nor does it cause double vision.

I hope the blood work points you in a certain direction so you can get some help for him.

Let me know how he is, okay?

gentle hugs..........Jenny
