Cymbalta for arthritis

Has anyone tried this for osteo? I've been seeing the tv commercials and wondered if its worth the side effects. No generic so it'll be full price too.

Re: Cymbalta for arthritis

I was on it for about 9 months while recovering from a broken neck. It did help. It is approved for treating depression, generalized anxiety disorder and peripheral neuropathy. Found it did a better job on the pain problem than the depression or anxiety.

It takes a good 3-4 weeks to kick in so you have to keep taking it even if it doesn't seem to work at first. It can even make you jumpier during the first couple of weeks.

I stopped it when it made me have nightmares so bad I couldn't sleep. But it got me through the worst of the recovery pain.

Re: Cymbalta for arthritis

Thanks for replying, good to know what the "real" side effects might be, especially for a drug that takes that long to work.
