Unhappy 19, new treatment

Hi, I was diagnosed with Firbomyalgia three years ago and was just diagnosed with an unspecified form of inflamatory arthritis. My doctor wants to test a treatment, Enbrel. I am only nineteen and am a little weary of such a potent medicine. I am wondering if anyone has experienced any long terms effects with this medicine. Thanks!

Hi Brianalb,
I just read info about Enbrel on google. Too many complications can arise from taking this potent drug, including cancer.
People under 18 years of age are not advised to take Enbrel. ( I realize you are 19)
There are special diets for people who suffer from Fibroyalgia can follow, which seem to help them. Are you by any chance on a diet for fibro?
Your doctor wants to give you tests to see if you have tuberculosis. This was some of the info I read.
Nope, I would not take Enbrel if I was you. There must be more help for you out there.
Good luck in your search.
Haydena.
