Duyputrens Contracture Surgery Can Anyone Explain Process

Last year I had basal joint arthoplasty/carpal tunnel surgery on both my left & right hand. During physical therapy, the therapist discovered the tendons in my palms of my left hand were thickening and lumps forming under the skin. Soon after my right palm started to do the same thing.

The ortho surgeon said I was developing Duyputrens Contracture and further on down the road I would probably need surgery.. Just wondering what this surgery is like? Can anybody enlighten me?
