| New sibling on way for much older Asperger
I am currently 37 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first is aged 8 and has Asperger. We decided to wait to have another child as we were having so much trouble with number 1 and thought is a good idea to ensure we were ready for the risk of going through it all again.
Anyway, we have been making slight changes within the home and so far he is coping okay as we include him in the making of the changes. When setting up the Nursery with the brand new cot linen, and wall hangings, we also renewed the furnishings in our sons room. We are trying not to put too much hype on the new arrival coming soon, but are noticing our son is now behaving like a baby. He crawls, rolls on the floor, talks like a baby, and wants constant attention. Its driving me nuts and my husband is constantly bickering with him.
Any suggestions on how we can be excited as well as let our son know he is still going to be very much loved. I am worried he will become even more difficult to handle and especially during times when I need to be with the baby.
