| Re: 10 year old with sleeping problems
Besides taking to his DR. to make sure he is ok, maybe a bladder infection? Then telling the Dr. about his sleep patterns, can help you come up with a solution. Is he tired during the day? at school? Can he function ok with that much sleep? If not then he does need to either get on a routine schedule, where he does the same nightly thing, every night, or get help from the DR. mY son has autism, and functions very well on a routine schedule. He too, will stay up rather late, considering that he has to catch his bus at 6:20am everyday. I do know that he sleeps though, on the way to school. And sometimes on the way home from school. That makes it difficult because sometimes he will not go to bed until after midnight, last night it was 1am > He just got through with spring break, now back to school his shedule has been off so it has been hard to get him back into his routine without a struggle. I know how you feel. Just try really hard to help him get set into a routine every night.
