Close friend, 81 yr old male with M.D., (retired surgeon) has many problems.
And I am certain that he has Aspergers. At this time he also has deep vein
thrombosis, a driving phobia & a wife with Alzheimers. He needs to make some changes, e.g., downsize & relocate to retirement facility, etc., & taking care of wife is a problem..
Problem is he can't make decisions or lay out plans for future because of AS
& he won't accept help or suggestions. I believe people need to understand
how his mind works & not expect him to deal with those big problems easily.
Curious to know if anyone has Aspergers or a loved one who has. It would be
helpful to know what experiences you're having.
I owe a lot to the folks on this Board for helping me with a problem several
