Hi: I have had asthma for many years and up until last November it was under good control with Azmacort and Ventolin inhaler. During the last several months the Azmacort stopped working. My pulmonologist prescribed Seravent and Singular; the catch is that I am very afraid of new medications as I sometimes get dizzy and am afraid new meds will make me dizzy or worse. I have read the Seravent can cause paradoxical irreversible bronchospasm and while it doesn't happen to everyone, if it happens to you, you can die from inability to breathe. I am thinking of trying Singular pills, perhaps I will take a half and see what happens- I would like to know your experiences with Singular. I think my asthma is worse lately because of allergies and I have alot of crap in my lungs which is audible when I try to clear my lungs by coughing.

I take serevent and singular. Singular was just added in febuary. It has helped a lot.The phlem will no longer stay down in your lungs it adds something that makes it easier to get up. some mornings after i take it i spend a part of the morning coughing with phlem in my throat but I always think its better than keeping this crapp down in my lungs causing damage. other days I don't have any phelm. But my chest feels looser.Do you use a rescue inhaler? Servbent is just like a rescue inhaler only it lasts 12 hours so your lung passageways stay dialated longer so it is also easier than to breath.I think serevent generally is pretty harmless.

I do use my rescue inhaler- I try to limit my intake to 6 puffs per day but lately I am getting worse; I probably will have to go to oral prednisone; I am going to see a new pulmonologist in October; I am thinking of trying the Sinugular; it is nice that it helps you; I sure could use something that loosened the crap in my lungs.

if you alergys are asthma based it will help lossen the crap in your lungs . I use to hear nosies when i would exhale. now I don't. but I do use serevent too.

Hi,
I use Azmacort and Serevent. They have made an enormous difference for me. I don't use the Serevent much, just when it's really bad, and maintenance of about once a day. The Azmacort I use about 4 times a day.

Singulair I just started taking also, a few days ago. My chronic coughing is letting up quite a bit.

No bad side effects here (so far.)
