Blu 4 u 2---larngeal asthma symptoms---please help - Asthma Message Board

To anyone who reads this.....What symptoms did you have for larngeal asthma or vocal cord asthma. Sometimes when I talk I start to cough violently. My DR is trying me on Singulair now ...I have had all testing done and nothing shows up. This starts right where that little indent is on your throat like a tickle and feels like it is closing up and I start to cough severly I almost choke. It happens in spells about 4 times a day. I also am taking narcotic cough medicine to calm it down. It works but......Help please

Yes, I forgot that one. My coughing was so violent that I fractured a rib! I had pneumonia on top of this, so it was hard to tell what was causing the cough. It still happens when I am talking on the phone, for instance. The nebulizer treatments with the lidocaine calm that down as well.
