Hip cramps - Asthma Message Board

I've been on steroids now for more than six months. I have recently tapered from 24 mgs of medrol to 2 mgs every other day in three weeks. (Four mgs of medrol equals five mgs of pred.) I have been having hip pains for a while now. I have not had a bone density scan. I was wondering if anyone else has hip pain like I do from oral corticosteroid treatment/taper.

Started using Advair 100/50 on 5/23/03 and nothing has ever worked for my asthma like this stuff. Haven't used my inhaler since(and I was using it every 2-3hrs.)But I recently started having hip pain and other joint pain especially when I exercise or walk. Some days it is worse than others. I have also experienced significant weight gain. Has anyone had the same side effects with Advair.
